The Missouri Coalition for the Environment has long felt that a schedule of remedies should be imposed on MSD to keep it on track as it cleans up the sewers in St. Louis.
Milwaukee's Sewage in Lake MichiganTwo new sewage related things: First, Josh missed a major spill in his May 11 Spill of the Week. Friends of Milwaukee's Rivers just found out on Wednesday that there was a sewage spill last week of approximately 4.1 million gallons of wastewater into Lake Michigan.
Inmates in the Jackson County Jail in Medford, Oregon have a creative, and pretty disgusting way of sending messages throughout the prison. Prisoners intentionally clog toilets causing sewage to flood the jail, which clears the pipes to toilets and sinks in the cells, allowing them to shout messages through the pipes into other cells. So the next time you feel inundated by email, remember that it could be much worse.
